About Melissa Rivas
Graduate of the University of Houston with a BBA in Finance and a minor in Accounting. As a first-generation college graduate, I’ve developed a strong foundation in financial principles and am currently pursuing CPA licensure—having completed all educational requirements and actively preparing for the CPA exams.I’ve gained hands-on experience through internships in commercial banking within the oil and gas sector, as well as at a Big 4 firm supporting financial institutions. These opportunities have strengthened my understanding of corporate finance, risk, and client service.With a background in customer service and a leadership role in a college student organization, I’ve honed key skills in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. I’m passionate about learning, developing new skills, and making a meaningful impact in the accounting and finance industry.
