Assume full responsibility and act as main contact for new custom Design Studio projects from initial design, throughout production, and post-sale support.• Manage all aspects of Design Studio custom product development projects coordinating with a cross functional team that includes the sales team, industrial design, the model shop, sourcing, finance, manufacturing, quality assurance, outside vendors, IT and often directly with customers. • Establish the cost basis for custom product including individual components, tooling estimation, freight estimation. • Manage project timelines and help coordinate the various actions of the team, including Purchasing, Engineering and Operations.• Find and evaluate the most efficient approaches to problem solving to meet customer needs in the event of schedules fluctuating which includes understanding how to expedite, de-expedite and understanding Symmons product assortment including past custom product to find alternative permanent or temporary product alternatives to support customers changing needs.• Enter customer purchase orders and work to coordinate any requested release schedules between customer needs and Symmons Operations capacity.• Create and maintain price quotes that include new custom items, and estimate costs associated with new product development. Responsible for maintaining quote package margins and managing complete project packages, including standard product. • Interact directly with Sales team/post all updates to Salesforce, as necessary. Be the point of contact between sales and internal departments to coordinate a satisfactory response on any quality, engineering, or product issues.• Analyze current methods and processes to identify bottlenecks or limitations and make recommendations to address those issues to ensure Design Studio projects are delivered on time.• Respond to sales requests for custom mockups/sample orders by coordinating with Model Shop, Engineering, Operations and Purchasing.
