I\'m an Intrapreneur (that\'s not a typo) and especially enjoy working with like-minded people on things that matter. I work well independently and collaboratively, and genuinely care about bolstering others\'​ successes as much as my own. I like to build things, and build up people.Throughout my career, I have bridged the gap between Marketing and IT, speaking both languages - translating marketing requirements into tech-speak and vice versa. This \'bi-lingual\'​ perspective has served me and my companies very well. I communicate comfortably & respectfully with all levels and am able to give & receive honest feedback.Learning new things and broadening our view is how we grow creatively and professionally. Challenges arise to give us these opportunities. My example - I started my career as a graphic designer specializing in website graphics at a small Internet company (back when all Internet companies were start-ups). I learned Cold Fusion and Javascript to expand what I was able to build for our clients. When, that company was acquired, I was moved into an Intranet development team, where I was to program in PHP. I learned PHP through a combo of code deconstruction and a PHP reference book and quickly became a development lead who could go into meetings with executives, discuss their needs and objectives and either build it myself or bring those requirements back to the team and work collaboratively to deliver above & beyond what was initially envisioned.I have worked as a business analyst / front-end developer, an email marketer, an eCommerce manager and now a marketing manager, adapting to the needs of my teams.I am always willing to help, whether to get something done well & on time, or to help someone to troubleshoot an issue or to grow their skills - because these things matter.
