WORK HISTORY
Senior Osp Design Engineer @Osmose
My work focuses on utility pole design and outside plant engineering in accordance with current electrical engineering specifications and utility standards for National Grid and power and communications companies nationwide. I support power and communications make-ready and pole loading design by integrating field data, engineering requirements, and constructability considerations to deliver compliant, build-ready solutions.I co-manage and actively utilize Osmose’s GIS-based Portal system, a centralized database of applicant and utility poles that have been application-prepared, surveyed, designed, or fully engineered. This system contains extensive metadata, including structural history, attachment data, and design attributes, allowing for advanced analysis and data-driven engineering decisions. Leveraging this metadata, I extract meaningful insights to answer complex engineering questions and support accurate design evaluations.I also manage a second proprietary Osmose GIS database used to track services delivered across nationwide utility accounts. This platform integrates Osmose-collected data, client records, planned construction activity, and external factors such as storm events. By analyzing this combined data, I develop clear infrastructure timelines identifying required and client-recommended system upgrades.Using these integrated data sources, I create data-driven deliverables that support both long-term infrastructure planning and day-to-day engineering design. These deliverables are used to forecast demand, anticipate future system needs, and support revenue-generating initiatives with proven results.I maintain a strong commitment to environmental and historic preservation compliance. Environmentally protected lands and historically significant structures are always identified and respected in alignment with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, ensuring responsible infrastructure development.
