Leads a team of both Java and Mainframe developers to meet business goals and regulatory requirements in tax reporting for our clients and company. • Acts as a liaison between product, business partners, and IT to drive outcomes. • Gatekeeper of team’s workload in alignment with agreed upon priorities to deliver for our business partners. • Manages through crisis product defects to find root cause, a solution, and controls for future avoidance. • Owned planning and scheduling in partnership with Scrum Lead of 2-week sprints including acceptance criteria of work completed. • Managing team through architectural modernization of monolithic structure/programs. • Actively works to retire applications and programs that are no longer serving their purpose or so duplicative work with the goal of saving the company money in ‘waste’. Thus far this year I have saved approximately • Works cross-functionally with other product teams, senior leadership, and internal clients. • Manages and re-prioritizes the product backlog consistently in order to accommodate unexpected work (if deemed appropriate to work on) and maintain prioritization of key deliverables. • Challenges status quo and scope creep of asks that were not on the product roadmap. Facilitates trade off conversations as needed to manage the work to capacity of the team. • Manages multiple vendor products that support financial tax reporting.
