ABOUT MELISSA LOCKHART FORTNER

I’m an investor relations and impact investing leader focused on stewarding capital across the full fund lifecycle, from relationship development and deployment through reporting, maturity, and reinvestment.I currently serve as Vice President of Investor Relations at Global Partnerships, an impact-first fund manager with ~$180M AUM. I lead the strategy, systems, and team responsible for raising and stewarding impact capital across debt funds, philanthropy, and recoverable grants. Over the past several years, I’ve helped lead a $100M capital raise, built scalable investor infrastructure (including Salesforce CRM and an investor portal), and guided investors through fund closes and successful fund maturities.A core focus of my work is integrating investor relations with finance, investments, impact, compliance, and communications, ensuring that capital strategy, stewardship, and execution reinforce one another. I’m particularly motivated by moments where disciplined execution and transparent, values-aligned communication build trust and support long-term capital partnerships.Earlier in my career, I spent a decade at the Pacific Council on International Policy, where I led fundraising, communications, and stakeholder engagement, and worked closely with civic, government, and private sector leaders.
