Financial Abuse unit- September 2017Financial Exploitation Investigator conducts data analysis and financial investigations of complex cases.The Investigator uncovers, analyzes, quantifies, gathers, compiles and prepare reports; to determine investigative findings.Obtains information and investigates complaints of alleged abuse, neglect, or exploitation of the elderly or adults with disabilities; investigates emergency situations. Assesses client needs for degree and priority of services and develops service plans.Advises, counsels, and interviews clients, family members, and others to gather social, functional, physical, and mental information for evaluation.Removes persons in dangerous situations from homes and admits them to emergency shelters.Arranges for medical and psychiatric examinations or treatments.Monitors service plans needs of the elderly or adults with disabilities are being met.Prepares documentation seeks court orders for emergency protective services actions maintains case documentation.May participate in community awareness activities.May testify in court.Provide 24 hour emergency response services Secure linkages and referrals for other county and community services such as public health agency’s. Advocate for clients in a variety of situations, for example, with landlords, doctors, hospitals, treatment programs. Arrange for direct services such as meal delivery, transportation and immediate assistance. Coordinate and consult with other providers to ensure the best possible service for the client.Program Specific Workgroup (PSW): We meet on a monthly basis and recommend efficiencies that will mitigate the workload impacts of changes in policies prior to that implementation within my current Department at Sacramento County. African American Special Skills Social worker : I am sometimes assigned African American cases due to my extensive knowledge of African American culture.
