For more than 40 years, Plant with Purpose, an international development organization, has addressed the alleviation of rural poverty by addressing the nexus between environmental restoration, economic empowerment and spiritual renewal. The holistic approach of our watershed model is 100% locally led and community based, empowering farming families in nine countries to increase farm yields, heal damaged ecosystems, improve nutrition, and increase household savings and opportunities. Purpose groups are the foundation of the watershed model, comprised of farmer field schools, savings groups, reforestation, regenerative farming, and partnerships with local churches.Plant with Purpose currently works in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the Dominican Republic (DR), Haiti, Mexico, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Thailand.
