ABOUT MELISSA FELLIN
Dr. Melissa Fellin (she/her) is a registered social worker (RSW) with over 20 years of experience and extensive academic and practical expertise in mental health and well-being. Holding a BA in Psychology and Anthropology, a Master of Social Work (MSW), a Master of Arts in Anthropology, and a PhD in Anthropology. She is the founder and owner of Bloom: Child & Family Therapy in Kitchener-Waterloo. With a passion for neurodiversity, Melissa focuses on helping neurodiverse individuals and families thrive, drawing from her personal experience as a neurodiverse parent raising three neurodiverse children. She is also a respected academic, having taught at Western University, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Sheridan College, and published over 25 academic works, including a book and several journal articles, with her research implemented in hospitals, schools, and counseling agencies. As a sought-after speaker, Melissa offers moms of sensitive, fiery, or neurodiverse children a path to connection, confidence, and peace through her compassionate and evidence-based approach.
