My name is Melissa, and I am a IT Consultant with over 25 years of background in software development and program management activities. Recently, I have been working as a consultant at Freddie Mac as a Scrum Master / IT Project Manager. Previously I was working on federal government contracts. In these roles, I was tasked with guiding project priorities across multiple initiatives including modernization of IT infrastructure and management of client requirements. Over the years, my work has given me considerable working knowledge in coordinating internal resources for the flawless execution of program objectives, while ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, and within scope and allotted budget. Having done comprehensive duties on leading projects from concept through the implementation life cycle, I’ve made a distinction for successfully overseeing cross-functional delivery teams to achieve project goals, while holding teams accountable for general results. Throughout my career as an executive leader and project manager, I’ve always done my best to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and emphasize the adoption of project management and system development life cycle best practices using innovative ideas to maximize effectiveness. The last decade has certainly made me realize that a successful collaborative effort is always possible by promoting cross-functional business involvement in projects, building trusted relationships with all members of an organization, and facilitating alignment of business requirements and system solutions.
