ABOUT MELISSA DIAZ
I am a recently graduated law student living in the Los Angeles Area with a passion for litigation and advocacy. While in school, I was a member of the Byrne Trial Advocacy Team at Loyola Law School and the President of the Transfer Student Association, as well as an elected board member for both the Criminal Law Society and La Raza de Loyola. In my time on Loyola\'s nationally-ranked trial team, I have competed in the Buffalo Niagara Trial Advocacy Competition, where I was a national Semifinalist. Additionally, I competed in the American Association of Justice Trial Competition, where I was a regional Finalist. I competed in the National Trial Competition, where our team made it all the way to the regional finals, and most recently, I was selected as Second Chair for Loyola Law School as they attended the prestigious Top Gun National Mock Trial Competition. Upon graduating, I was offered a coaching position for the team, which was thrilled to accept. During my time in law school, I have also participated in several clinical opportunities. Namely, I have participated in the Collateral Consequences of Convictions Justice Project and have previously volunteered at Loyola\'s Project for the Innocent.
