Deputy President of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters 2025/2026. Recipient of The Cuthbert Buckle Prize 2019 and The Institute Prize 2020 for highest performance in CILA\'s Advanced Diploma and Associateship examinations.A Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Chartered Loss Adjuster (ACILA), Melissa is a Senior Vice President in Marsh’s Claims Solutions team in London. Using her skills as a forensic accountant, she assists insureds in understanding their insurance needs through pre-loss reviews, or supporting them during a major loss - whether under the Business Interruption (BI) policy, or through ADR/litigation.Prior to this, she had had roles at both insurer facing forensic accountants and insurance advisory, and hence has a thorough understanding of the requirements of all parties during a loss.Until November 2015, Melissa was a member of Deloitte Forensic with experience in managing investigations, accounting disputes and expert determinations. She has a wide range of experience across a number of sectors through her career in both external audit and forensic accounting.
