About Melissa Cooper

Maximizer, Ideation, Woo, Futuristic, Positivity I am a career consultant for business, nonprofit, organizational leadership, economics, labor studies, and tourism/hospitality students in their first two years of university, a certified life coach, and a certified Career Development Facilitator instructor. In addition to serving on the IUPUI Career Services Council onboarding team for new campus career services staff, I provide onboarding for new academic advisors, career consultants, and other staff in my unit. I have also supervised an Upward Bound senior intern for four weeks each year, and help supervise graduate counseling interns who work with us. Almost forgot: I teach an 8-week major/career course every fall semester. My previous roles have included academic advising, career counseling, and programming for exploratory (undecided) college students, facilitating training and professional development for colleagues, and mentoring new staff. Through it all, I coach those in career transition to embrace their passions and their skills for lifelong success. I am always pleased to network with both new and longtime colleagues and friends!
