ABOUT MELISSA CHERRY LEGIN

I’m a Doctor of Medical Science and people first leader who believes that the most meaningful impact in healthcare and community happens where science, strategy, and humanity meet. Over the past two decades I have served as a clinician, professor, leader and Senior Medical Science Liaison. I’ve led with curiosity, compassion, and conviction that evidence is only as powerful as the people who bring it to life.I’m energized by developing and empowering people. Helping others see both the “why” behind the work and the difference it can make in themselves and for patients. I take pride in cultivating cultures of collaboration, scientific excellence, and shared purpose, where cross-functional partners feel valued, aligned, and inspired to deliver their best.My leadership experience spans clinical trial execution, evidence generation, launch readiness, and scientific exchange across complex therapeutic areas. I lead through inspiration, influence and vision, ensuring science is translated into actionable insights that improve outcomes and elevate those who deliver care.Beyond my work in medicine, I’m a trauma-informed leader and advocate. I help build spaces rooted in trust, courage, and healing. This work shapes how I lead; authentically, empathetically, and with a deep respect for human resilience. To me, great leadership means advancing both innovation and integrity. As I am genuinely aligned to the intention that progress is strongest when people feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.
