Joined as the school’s first American teacher in its first year of operation to establish departments, write curricula and student handbooks, etc. Earned promotions to Head of Lower School (130 students), Head of Middle School (150 students), and current Deputy Head of School (200 students) roles while maintaining classroom instruction responsibilities. Currently report to Head of School and oversee 45 staff members including Head of Lower School, IB Coordinator, Admissions Director, and a teaching team. Serve as Head of the English Department and liaison to the Parent Association. Researched, evaluated, and led decision making for implementation and adoption of multiple EdTech platforms to improve interactive learning experiences and enable virtual and hybrid learning. Led transition to remote learning during Covid, including parent and teacher communications, teacher and student coaching, implementation of new teaching tools, and writing the required Covid Reopening Plan.Develop and implement curriculum with a focus on vertical and horizontal alignment, with diversified materials and instruction to meet the needs of all learners.Oversee and contribute to family and staff handbooks, weekly newsletters, and general communications.
