About Melinda Tijerino
AI is evolving fast, and governance has to move just as quickly. The challenge is turning complex, fragmented practices into clear structures that let teams innovate responsibly while staying ahead of risk.At Moody’s Analytics, I lead AI Risk & Governance, guiding how we manage the risks and opportunities of machine learning, generative AI, agentic AI, and AI-enabled SaaS products. My work draws on an understanding of the AI lifecycle, risk taxonomy, and emerging regulatory frameworks like NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, and ISO 42001. Our program spans hundreds of consumer products, vendor AI tools, and internal facing applications, bringing together Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Compliance to embed trust and accountability across the lifecycle of AI. I’ve helped build the frameworks, processes, and governance forums that give shape to this work, from intake and evaluation through prioritization and oversight. My background in privacy, security, and enterprise risk grounds the program in principles, while my focus on clarity and collaboration makes it practical for teams to adopt.
