ABOUT MELINDA KALLMEYER
A highly-organized, self-motivated, and dedicated professional with solid experience in the teaching and counseling professions currently employed as therapist/licensed professional counselor at Alliance Child and Family Solutions. I also am trained in Prepare/Enrich, a relationship assessment tool and skill building program to help improve relationships. With that relationship tool, I am able to be a provider in the Twogether in Texas program which offers a discount on a marriage license when couples go through an 8 hour course in premarital therapy. My grounding theory is cognitive based with experience in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Trauma Informed Care. I seek to learn more about Animal Assisted Therapy and hope to have a therapy dog in my future work as a counselor.
