ABOUT MELIA SWENSON
I am a junior Psychology student at Fairfield University from Rhode Island. In addition to my Psychology major, I have a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience. I also have minors in Educational Studies and Mathematics. I am interested in pursuing a PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, with a focus on children and adolescents’ mental health experiences. I work with an organization called The Hidden Opponent, advocating for student-athlete mental health awareness. I have experience in psychology research as a Research Assistant for both Dr. Amanda Haber in the Fairfield Child Development and Learning Lab studying children\'s trust in digital informants, and for Dr. Elizabeth Thompson at Brown University studying adolescent psychosis.
