Creating Cognitive Growth Instructional lessons for 6th grade science and math in the Individualized Honors Program Academy. Working with highly gifted students who enjoy depth and complexity in their learning- Avg class size taught: 34 students- Invited outside experts into the classroom for demonstrations.Math Courses Use Illustrative Mathematics Curriculum, Critical Thinking math tasks and deployed where students engage with the content. Use cognitive growth instruction approach, students solve problems in multiple ways.Science Courses Taught: 5E science experiments/inventions, visiting experts and engaging lessons to peak students\' interests to explore and solve problems.Passion Projects- School\'s Black Student Achievement Coordinator; overseer of methods and execution of activities to increase community engagement & academic rigor for black students along with managing the budget- Black Student Union Host: Coordinate club activities and field trips.STEAM course for sustainable projects with community impact: Science- Animal DissectionsEngineering - Building with wood for various applications.
