With a focus on both local and global health issues, I am committed to advancing equitable access to surgical services worldwide. My practice encompasses a broad range of elective and emergency general surgery procedures while ensuring comprehensive trauma care in emergencies. My expertise spans a variety of surgical procedures including general, laparoscopic and robotic operations including breast, hernia, gallbladder, hemorrhoid/anorectal, colon and appendix surgery. I am dedicated to minimizing patient recovery times through advanced enhanced recovery techniques and personalized care. In addition to my local practice, I am passionate about global health and work diligently to ensure equitable access to surgical services worldwide. My commitment extends to projects in places such as Myanmar, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zambia, and Guam/Micronesia where I collaborate with local healthcare teams to improve surgical infrastructure and training. I am passionate about community education efforts, especially First Aid and Stop The Bleed training for elementary, middle and high school children and teens as well as breast cancer screening and colon cancer screening recommendations for adults. I actively mentor healthcare professionals and advocate for underserved populations to further address global and rural US health and surgical disparities.
