1:1 careers guidance sessions with post 16, adult and higher education students, helping them make informed decisions on future training and courses (including apprenticeship) career choices, identifying skills gaps and helping with cvs, application and interviews.I am Careers lead for the Future Quest project supporting students into higher education. I’m also the careers lead for supporting the colleges higher education students, with their careers management skills and future plans post degree. I am also responsible for managing the students through the UCAS application website, which includes sessions training staff on supporting their students, and student sessions on filling in the application form and writing a personal statement.I create and deliver engaging presentations and workshops to all levels of students in various careers management topics including, apprenticeships, job searching, cvs, interviews, application forms, self employment, professionalism, LinkedIn, communication etc. I work with the academic team to create new relevant sessions for their students. Additionally, I organise a apprenticeship information event for all students, with external companies supporting this event.I work with various stakeholders within the college to support the colleges students with their careers needs.
