ABOUT MELANIE M.
I am a passionate education and refugee rights activist. Combining my experiences as an English teacher and researcher (abroad and in the UK), I volunteer as a UK panellist for Youth for Education in Emergencies at Plan International. I particularly focus on refugee rights of queer and disabled refugees. I currently work as the Democracy and Campaigns Coordinator at the University of Westminster Students’ Union. I lead and support students to run campaigns, elections, political candidates, and demand positive, democratic changes at the University of Westminster and beyond.
