   As an Adjunct Faculty Instructor, I teach English Composition I for Summer Bridge freshmen, First Year Experience, and Intro to Urban Education, courses that equip students with the skills, confidence, and awareness to succeed in college and beyond. My teaching emphasizes writing as a tool for empowerment, study and communication strategies for academic success, and equity-centered perspectives that help students understand the intersections of identity, culture, and education.Across each course, my goal is to create engaging and supportive learning environments where students connect who they are with who they are becoming. I integrate culturally responsive practice, reflective learning, and practical skill-building to help students strengthen their voice, deepen their critical thinking, and lay a strong foundation for their academic journey.
