About Melanie H.

When I was in middle school, I spent every moment between classes and during lunch breaks scribbling away in a large, tattered notebook, writing stories and eventually, a short novel that never quite got to being published. I knew I wanted to be a writer and tell stories from the moment I picked up a pencil (now, I\'d use a pen), and I\'m still that way. I remember being in high school, sitting on a stagnant, creaking ski lift with my father shortly before choosing where I\'d attend university. He told me that if I wanted to write for a living I\'d have to work hard for it - but that the reward of waking up and doing what you love every day is perhaps one of the greatest gifts in life.Now, I have a BA in Journalism with minors in Fine Arts and German from Hofstra University\'s Honors College, and am currently pursuing my Masters in Writing at Johns Hopkins Advanced Academic Program. I am a very creative, driven and passionate person with many interests, including fashion, creating content, reading and exercising. Let\'s get to know each other!
