ABOUT MELANIE WONG TRAN

Melanie is a Registered Dietitian focused on systems change, and has dedicated her career to working at the intersection of nutrition, sustainability, and food systems. She is the Michigan Institutional Impact Manager at the Center for Good Food Purchasing working with institutions and project partners on the Good Food for Michigan Project. Melanie has a background supporting child nutrition programs spent five years supporting the growth of Michigan’s local food purchasing incentive program, 10 Cents a Meal, and advancing farm to early care and education (Farm to ECE) initiatives in Michigan. Melanie is a proud Spartan and graduated from Michigan State University with her undergraduate degree in Dietetics, and minor in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems; she completed her Dietetic Internship and Masters of Arts in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Dietetics at Western Michigan University.
