Melanie Marich is a New York–based freelance journalist and multimedia producer covering politics, social justice, labor, immigration, and alternative economies.A graduate of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, she combines investigative reporting, narrative features, and audio storytelling to illuminate underrepresented communities and unpack complex systems.Her work has appeared in THE CITY, Hell Gate, New York Post, and WBAI, with contributions to Al Jazeera, Columbia Journalism School, and New York Public Radio. Melanie regularly covers breaking news, political events, and grassroots movements, producing ethical, adaptive, and engaging multimedia journalism.She’s driven by a deep commitment to justice, equity, and storytelling that informs and empowers. Outside the newsroom, she\'s halfway to her goal of speaking eight languages and dreams of writing a book someday.
