ABOUT MELANIE LOVERING
Excited to be joining the Toronto Botanical Garden as Director of Development, with its mission to connect people and plants, foster sustainable communities, and develop reciprocal relationships with nature through lifelong learning. As a lifelong nature-lover, this is music to my ears!Previously, leadership and collaboration was the cornerstone of my tenure as Interim Chief Philanthropy Officer at Stella\'s Place, as I steered the philanthropy team through a critical transition. Achievements at Campfire Circle included directing the early-mid stages of a successful $35M capital campaign, and mentoring the Marketing & Donor Relations team through many critical moments during the COVID pandemic, including an organizational rebrand.Seven years as a consultant with KCI (Ketchum) built the bedrock of my career as a multi-faceted expert, exposing me to a variety of roles and projects that helped me build a deep well of skills.
