About Melanie Diamond-Manlusoc
Before I began my pastry career I was a music educator for 7 years. While I was working on my music degree at Michigan State University, I traveled to Italy for a summer saxophone workshop in 2001. It was on that trip that I had my first taste of gelato, my first taste of prosciutto, and my first taste of parmigiano reggiano. I fell in love with northern Italian food and have been perpetually after all of those \"firsts\" that make food and life so incredibly special.
