ABOUT MELANIE D. COLE SMITH
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marylhurst University, Melanie\'s twenty year real estate career started in mid-town Manhattan where she managed several high rise office buildings. After five years in New York, she returned to Portland, Oregon and was afforded the opportunity to work with the Bill Naito Company, overseeing the company portfolio, which consisted of 11 historic buildings in Old Town, the Albers Mill Building, Galleria Building and Montgomery Park.Melanie assisted with the sale and purchase of Montgomery Park in April of 2019, transitioning the asset to Unico Properties. Melanie joined KG Investment Properties in February of 2020. In her Director role she oversees the Portland property management team and client relations with over 5 million SF in the Portland, Oregon, Metro Area. Melanie is an Oregon state licensed real estate broker. She joined the BOMA Oregon Board of Directors in January of 2016 and has served as its President in 2022 and 2023. She is the recipient of the Property Manager of the Year 2018 CAB Award.
