About Meka Egwuekwe
Technology equals power. For more than 25 years, I’ve seen how technology can transform lives, but only when access, opportunity, and pathways into the industry are built intentionally. That belief drives my global work at the intersection of technology, education, and community. I focus my attention on expanding pathways and building sustainable talent pipelines into the tech economy.As a first-generation college graduate from inner-city Memphis, this mission is personal. I co-founded CodeCrew and now serve as CEO to help equip young people and adults with AI and computer science education so they can experience the power of technology. This work comes to life as I travel the globe as a speaker and advocate for equity in technology partnering with corporations, universities, governments, and community organizations to advance the future of workforce development.Over the past decade, our work has reached more than students, helped advance computer science legislation impacting over one million learners, and built nationally recognized programs that connect education, industry, and community to create stronger and more inclusive tech ecosystems.
