About Het Lalitkumar M.

I’m a QA and product focused engineer working across EV charging systems, mobile applications, and backend infrastructure to improve quality and reliability at scale. At Blink Charging, I contribute to validation efforts for Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers, including firmware testing, OTA updates, charger UI behavior, and mobile app workflows used by both customers and field technicians. I collaborate closely with firmware developers, mobile engineers, the Blink Network backend team, and the NOC to surface edge cases, troubleshoot performance gaps, and support system-wide improvement. My work often involves diagnostics, test automation (Pytest), and data visualization using Power BI.I hold a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelor\'s in Aeronautical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University. My academic foundation in systems design, flight mechanics, and simulation complements my industry experience across aerospace, manufacturing, and clean energy technologies.I bring a systems mindset grounded in diagnostics, automation, and collaborative problem solving. I’m especially drawn to roles where quality, product thinking, and technical execution come together.

Experience

  1. Quality Assurance Engineer

    Blink Charging

Apr 2024 — Present · Bowie, MD, US

At Blink Charging, I lead quality assurance and product validation for Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers deployed across North and Latin America. My work focuses on ensuring end-to-end system reliability through firmware testing, charger-cloud communication analysis (custom protocol, OCPP 1.6/2.0), and collaborative diagnostics with internal teams and global hardware partners.I support key product lines developed in-house as well as hardware sourced from LiteOn, Tellus, Sinexcel, ABB, Kempower, and Chaevi. These efforts span over 10 plus charger models and involve testing firmware rollouts, mobile app integration, UI performance, and backend connectivity.I work closely with Blink’s firmware engineers, mobile app developers, cloud teams, and the Network Operations Center (NOC) to debug cross-platform issues and improve product behavior. This includes defining workflows for firmware OTA updates, UI error recovery, and diagnostics tooling used by field teams.Key contributions: Supported development of dashboards to track health and uptime across deployed chargers Validated EMV terminal flows for contactless payments across multiple models Helped bridge communication between hardware vendors and cloud/backend teams via structured Jira workflows Contributed to early-stage bug detection that led to cost-saving firmware updates Initiated Blink’s first Product Development Team (PDT) seminar series to integrate QA perspective into roadmap planning These efforts strengthened system stability, accelerated troubleshooting, and improved customer experience across Blink’s ecosystem.
