Warranty Data analysis & prediction: • Acquire Data - acquiring OEM part warranty data from esupplierconnect• Visualize data and conduct EDA exploratory data analysis • Preparing data for analysis, correcting missing values, fix unfriendly data format, remove outliers etc• Utilize Feature engineering, Domain Knowledge to improve and add insight to the model (categorize parts based on design, create individual failure density distribution, add features such as failure sequence) • Split data into training, validation, test sets • Utilize tools such as K-means, to group together parts that are seen to fail together• Establish and predict which of the correlated parts tend to fail first• Predict warranty claims for future models/vehicles based on design and plant of manufacture • Correlating, findings into mechanical testing and establishing root cause• in warranty savings for Grand Cherokee 2018 & 2019 Model year, established skid plate as root cause of noise.Defect Detection: Implemented defect detection for production line setting, with email notification: • Utilize PLC, Microcontroller sensor triggered camera as an input to data collection & prediction models• Prepare image into correct shape/dimension, so as to be utilized by the prediction model• Utilize faster_rcnn_resnet101 for classificationFriction-stir-weld failure prediction: predict weld failures using sensor data.• Defect rejection possible upstream – preventing Machining on non-conforming parts• Allows for real time corrections of weld parameters• Deep learning utilized to predict failuresShop floor & Customer support• First responder (single point of contact) for customer. Supported PPAP submissions, capability studies, gage R&R, updated work instruction, Control plans
