As the CTO of Resensys, I have led the R&D efforts on development of award winning Resensys Wireless SenSpot sensors. The work includes design and development of energy efficient wireless communication, synchronization, and sensing algorithms in SenSpot sensors, which have made them the best in their class. Currently, SenSpot offers the World\'s most energy efficient wireless structural monitoring sensor with an adaptive energy management system. As a result, Resensys SenSpots are the only wireless structural health monitoring sensors in the market which provide 10+ years of reliable operation using a small coin-cell non-rechargeable battery without the need for battery replacement. Currently, SenSpot sensors are capable of monitoring strain (stress), vibration, acceleration, displacement, deformation, tilt, inclination, temperature, and humidity. At Resensys, I have served as the Principal Investigator of highly competitive National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Awards in Phases I, II, and II-B. In addition to the NSF SBIR funding, I secured seed funding for Resensys through University of Maryland Business Plan Competition, Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), and Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS). Since 2012, I have led the company\'s effort to commercialize its structural health monitoring technology based on SenSpot sensors. Currently, Resensys offers its best in class structural monitoring systems, which are successfully deployed on several major interstate highway bridges, buildings, and airplanes in the US as well as other countries including the Canada, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and New Zealand.
