ABOUT MEHERUNISSA H.

I have a DrPH (Doctorate of Public Health) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I use qualitative methods to explore and understand structural and systemic inequalities faced by women and minority ethnic groups at the intersection of gender, race and migration. I am a seminar leader for the Term 1 Masters module Health Policy: Process and Power module (in person) and a Tutor on the Distance Learning module Health Systems for the MSc Global Health Policy at the LSHTM. My research projects include- 20••••25 Challenges Faced by Women in Social Care Workforce: A Focus on Gender and ‘Race’ Intersectionality in Training Reforms, with Emphasis on the 2023 English Social Care Sector- 20••••22 Exploring Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in Postgraduate Research Degree Admissions: An LSHTM Case StudyI am an experienced Health Services Research and Policy Specialist with expertise in advising on the implementation of public health interventions in resource-constrained settings. I have demonstrated success in delivering research and health delivery projects, including health care delivery programs funded by international donors in both hospital and NGO environments. My speciality includes health systems strengthening and patient care improvement, with comprehensive skills in all stages of project design and implementation. Academically trained in qualitative research and policy analysis, with substantial operational experience in implementing and expanding health delivery projects.
