About Mehdi Peikar
I am a dentist, orthodontist and physicist. I am the inventor of BRIUS. I received a M.Sc. degree in condensed matter and quantum mechanics from the Physics Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I completed my PhD in Biomechanics and Biophysics at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Biophysics Department. I did a second round of residency at the three-year residency program in orthodontics at UCLA in 2019. I invented a new orthodontic system called BRIUS (formerly Mechanodontics) that moves the teeth independently and autonomously.
