ABOUT MEHDI ABBASI
I am a Geological Engineer with over 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, rock mechanics, and underground infrastructure projects. My professional background includes engineering studies, construction supervision, and geotechnical support for large-scale projects such as subway and water transmission tunnels, railways, wastewater tunnels, and underground and open-pit mining operations.Throughout my career, I have worked extensively on tunneling, subway, railway, dam, and mining projects, with hands-on experience in geotechnical site investigations, engineering geology, rock mechanics, geophysical testing, slope stability analysis, and mechanized tunneling using TBM and EPB-TBM methods.I have previously worked as a Geotechnical Engineer with several consulting engineering firms, where I gained strong expertise in geological mapping, laboratory and field investigations, geotechnical analysis, hazard assessment, and technical report preparation. I also have experience supervising ground improvement and treatment works.I hold a PhD in Geological Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) and am proficient in industry-standard software including RS2, Slide, Dips, SWedge, UnWedge, RockWorks, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, LogPlot, and RocLab.In addition to my technical background, I value teamwork and clear communication, and I enjoy working in multidisciplinary environments on complex engineering challenges.
