Answer patient inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing accurate information.• Assist patients with understanding their appointments, follow-up care, scheduling, verifying patient’s demographics, insurances, answering any queries and concerns related to their visits and after visits.• Schedule, reschedule, patient appointments as needed.• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability and optimal scheduling.• Remind patients of upcoming appointments and provide necessary preparation instructions.• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and information using EPIC system.• Ensure all patient data is handled confidentially and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.• Facilitate the transfer of patient records between departments and external facilities keeping their confidentiality.• Assist patients with insurance verification and help them understanding their coverage. Knowledge of various types of insurance and billing related information.• Assist patients with EOB and pre authorization if needed for specific procedures.• Help patients navigate billing questions and concerns, providing clarification on charges and payment options.• Coordinate with the billing department and insurance to resolve any discrepancies or issues on claims.
