WORK HISTORY
Director of Strategic Initiatives @Canada Plastics Pact
As Director of Strategic Initiatives, I work to deliver real progress and hard outcomes toward a fully circular plastics economy in Canada by working with industry leaders, researchers and academia, and governments. My role focuses on action-oriented activities including supporting numerous working groups, a solutions accelerator series, creating guidance for Canadian companies, and securing financing to enable real change and uptake. I support and am supported by the Managing Director of the Canada Plastics Pact and the CEO of Generate Canada. I manage a staff team responsible for Partner engagement, strategic communications, and management of key initiatives. The Canada Plastics Pact (CPP) is creating a circular economy in Canada in which plastic waste is kept in the economy and out of the environment. It is a unique multi-stakeholder, industry-led, cross-value chain collaboration platform which aims to tackle plastic packaging waste and pollution by bringing together businesses, government, non-governmental organizations and other key actors in the local plastics value chain. Canada Plastics Pact Partners are united, working together on achieving clear, actionable targets by the year 2025, and subsequently 2030.
