Researching how India is quietly writing its own rules for the digital world, and whether Brussels has anything to say about it. At CCS, I\'m co-authoring a working paper on the Brussels Effect and India\'s DPDP act 2023, asking uncomfortable questions about data sovereignty, regulatory divergence, and what a genuine \'third way\' in tech governance might look like.My work here goes well beyond literature reviews, mapping legislation across jurisdictions, tracing the stakeholders who shape India\'s policy ecosystem, and building the lines of questioning that will drive primary research interviews. It\'s where legal text meets lived policy, and where a good question matters as much as a good citation.Beyond the research desk, I also contribute to the Researching Reality fellowship; curriculum development, application sorting, and program operations.Because I have understood that policy is people, and Data is political. And the most interesting answers usually start with the right question.
