Key responsibilities include developing methodologies to capture fossil fuel involvement of companies. Key member of the Carbon Methodology Committee to assess methodologies to estimate scope 1, scope 2 and scope 3 emissions of companies3. Key member of the Green Forum, which assesses technologies across different sectors including energy, steel, cement, real estate, emerging technology like hydrogen, among others, to determine what qualifies as “low carbon” or “clean technology”4. Analyze regulatory requirements related to climate change and investments, particularly in the EU region (for e.g. studying the requirements of the Paris Aligned Benchmark exclusions, SFDR and EU Taxonomy)5. Develop thought leadership (e.g. blogs, papers) on sustainability and climate change6. Conduct regular client consultations, hold regular client calls and represent MSCI on external forums for products under my ambit7. Engage with stakeholders in different teams at MSCI Sustainability & Climate Research, including ESG Ratings, ESG Index, Regulatory Solutions and Technology to collaborate and enhance operational efficiencies
