ABOUT MEGHAN L. MCCANN

As the Chief Program Officer at the Forum for Youth Investment, work with a team of policy experts providing strategic guidance and support to state and local leaders, policymakers, and advocates on how to improve outcomes and opportunities for young people. With over eight years of experience in education and human services policy, I am passionate about advancing evidence-based and equity-focused policies and practices that promote positive youth development and well-being. My expertise spans across multiple domains, such as early childhood, K-12, postsecondary, workforce, juvenile justice, and child welfare. I have authored and co-authored multiple publications, reports, and briefs on various topics, such as youth homelessness, two-generation approaches, student mental health and social-emotional learning. I have also been quoted in national media outlets, such as the New York Times, as a reliable and credible source of information and analysis on youth issues. I hold a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Colorado State University. I am also a licensed attorney in the State of Colorado.
