About Meghan Corwell
I am dedicated to supporting our company’s mission: Connect, Protect and Explore Our World and Beyond. I am passionate about increasing workflow efficiencies in both production and administrative environments. I have been described by my mentors and peers as eager, driven, organized, and positive. I am an experienced scientist transitioning into engineering management as I was recently accepted into Wichita State University’s PhD Mechanical Engineering program. Working through this program will also result in earning an ABET accredited degree in a couple of semesters. My leadership skills have been honed for over 10 years as I’ve held President and Chair positions for various organizations and committees, needing to balance schedules and budgets for large committees and projects. I currently hold a dual role: Materials & Process Engineering Scientist for Boeing and (Interim) Research & Technology Management Team for Spirit Defense, A Boeing Company. I am passionate about ethical and responsible use of AI (Artificial Intelligence), and I have served as an AI Expert Advisor and Technical Speaker. I strive to connect with my community and serve as one of my company’s brand ambassadors via STEM Outreach. I enjoy securing grant funds for my children’s elementary schools. For over 10 years, I have served as a judge and event coordinator for the Kansas Science and Engineering Fair, Science Olympiad, and, more recently, VEX Robotics tournaments. I prioritize my mental and physical health: I read approximately 20 books each year, I golf at Terradyne Country Club, and I compete in the Wichita Corporate Challenge (flag football, track and field, and golf).
