ABOUT MEGHAN BANNISTER

I am a graduate student at Florida State University in the College of Communication and Information, pursuing a Master\'s of Science in Media and Communication Studies with a certificate in Digital Video Production. I am a recipient of FSU\'s Torchbearer 100 Award and am recognized as one of the Top 100 most outstanding leaders on campus. I have been initiated into FSU\'s most prestigious honor societies including Garnet and Gold Key, The Nineteen Ten Honorary, and am recognized as a Garnet and Gold Scholar.I am passionate about pursuing a career in media and entertainment industry and eager to apply my skills while continuing to grow professionally. I recently completed William Morris Endeavor’s NXT Industry Sessions; a virtual course to learn business operations behind the global entertainment industry through a mix of self-paced material, live sessions, case studies, and insights from industry leaders. I am also a member of Grammy U and was selected as a Mentee for the 20••••26 Mentorship Program. This past semester, I completed an internship with Red Hills Motion Picture Releasing Company, where I supported the marketing and distribution of independent films, including Kiss the Ground, Common Ground, and Noseeums. Simultaneously, I interned with Vez Productions, contributing to live music production and recording, and assisting with music video shoots.Furthermore, I coordinated social media efforts for the annual Tallahassee Film Festival and created graphics for film programs, had the opportunity to interview filmmakers, and provided event photography. This experience sharpened my creative, marketing, and communication skills while providing meaningful insight into the behind-the-scenes work that brings entertainment experiences to life.On campus, I am a News Anchor for WVFS Tallahassee 89.7 FM, the official radio station of Florida State University. I research and produce stories to present on air while supporting the overall radio operations. I also volunteer with Seminole Productions, a professional live sports broadcasting, sports venue entertainment, and special event production department within Florida State Athletics.My proudest accomplishment is staying committed to personal goals, including completing five full marathons and five half marathons, as well as founding and establishing two Active Minds chapters focused on mental health advocacy in my hometown of Medfield, MA, and within my college community at FSU. Inside and outside of the classroom, I demonstrate a strong work ethic, creative mindset, and eagerness to learn.
