About Meghana Chagarlamudi
I’m a Security Engineer who loves building systems that make technology safer, more transparent, and more reliable — whether that means designing automation for large-scale environments, running penetration tests, or exploring how AI can transform the way we approach security. My experience spans hands-on engineering, research, and teaching. I’ve worked on everything from building AI-powered detection and remediation workflows at ServiceNow to conducting IoT vulnerability testing and web application security research during my time at RIT. Along the way, I’ve learned that great security work isn’t just about finding flaws — it’s about designing systems that are resilient, understandable, and continuously improving.I’m deeply curious about how AI, automation, and security intersect — how we can use intelligent systems to not only detect risk but reason about it. I enjoy turning complex technical challenges into clear, actionable solutions that drive measurable impact.Outside of work, I stay active in the security community through CTFs, conferences like DEF CON, and ongoing research projects. My goal is simple: to keep learning, keep building, and help shape a future where secure design and innovation move hand in hand.

Currently working on advancing ServiceNow’s Cloud Security initiatives, focusing on AI-driven automation, cost optimization, and multi-cloud security posture improvement across AWS, Azure, and GCP.Day-to-Day, I-Drive end-to-end remediation of vulnerability items (VITs) across all major cloud environments by collaborating with service owners, improving tagging accuracy, automating exception workflows, and ensuring SLA compliance-Develop and maintain custom Wiz controls and automation scripts that detect non-compliant resources, close overly permissive ports, and continuously improve enterprise-wide visibility and governance-In parallel, I’m leading the design of an AI-powered workflow that identifies idle or underused cloud resources and correlates them with open vulnerabilities. This project leverages Azure Advisor and Wiz data to recommend remediation and cost optimization actions — a framework that has the potential to reduce cloud spend and strengthen our security posture simultaneously.
