ABOUT MEGHANA HEGDE
As a senior associate finance professional, I have gained experience in tax compliance, tax provisions, and corporate tax return preparation for US, Canadian APAC and European entities. I currently work with Infosys Limited in Bangalore, where I oversee tax compliances such as VAT/GST and sales tax returns,corporate tax returns and computational works, including handling responses to notices received by the tax authorities. As a result, I have developed outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure timely and accurate filing of returns.I started my tax career as an article assistant at Vishnu Daya & Co LLP, where I conducted tax audits for various construction, manufacturing, IT, and trading companies. I also assisted in tax and financial planning, filing of income tax returns for clients, filing of TDS returns, and computation of tax liabilities for various entities. In addition to tax-related tasks, I also performed internal audits of various companies, statutory audits, and incorporation of companies and limited liability partnerships.In my role as an associate with K R Girish & Associates, I drafted appeals before the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) for notices received under different provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. I prepared transfer pricing documentation, opinion notes on various income tax queries, and provided updates on tax-related circulars, notifications, and judicial pronouncements.Throughout my career, I have always demonstrated impartiality, accuracy, and an ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.As a driven and results-oriented professional, I welcome new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow in my field.
