ABOUT MEGHAN SHELTON
As a Colorado native with over 25 years of experience in behavioral health, I am passionate about systems change and dedicated to advocating for high quality behavioral health services to be available and accessible to ALL people when and where they need it. I am passionate about utilizing my experience and community engagement skills to not only hear the voices of the people, but to listen to them as the experts that they are. I am dedicated to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and am passionate about engaging and empowering others through collaboration, strategic engagement, and quality improvement.The eight years I have spent in various leadership positions within the State of Colorado have allowed me the opportunity to serve on multiple Advisory Boards and Steering Committees that have focused on improving the current system and structure of behavioral healthcare for children, youth, and families in Colorado. I have recognized the need for this work since the beginning of my career in 2001 and have dedicated my career to ensuring all people have equitable access to whole person care, services and support.
