About Meghan Rathie

With a background in engineering and economics, what drove me to love Product Management is how it inherently combines crafting the why, for who, when, and where from a business perspective, while designing the what and how with a system-thinking engineering mindset. Considering macro trends and the global economy and how they affect the specifics of what customers want and need is something I’m always thinking about when identifying product problems and figuring out solutions. Combine that with the people-focused elements of empathizing with customers and distilling their wants down to what truly matters, plus fostering deep collaboration across many orgs to allow solutions to reach their full potential, and this is why product thinking is a natural passion for me.Some experiences that help paint a picture on my approach to product challenges- At Workday, I took on a data infrastructure that wasn’t equipped to handle the scale of customers like Walmart, where some mission-critical reports were taking 45+ minutes to generate — putting their $100M of recurring revenue at risk. Recognizing the urgency, I prioritized scalable frameworks and developed a data indexing infrastructure to increase performance, reducing Walmart’s report processing time to 2.5 minutes, and driving a 91% satisfaction rate across the largest accounts which were collectively $400M+ ARR- At CaptivateIQ, an incentive compensation management startup, I inherited a reporting & analytics module that was putting $6M+ of ARR at risk with only 15% customer adoption. I developed and executed a product strategy focusing on a more straightforward user experience that doubled module usage and retained over $4M of our at-risk ARR.On a personal front, I love exploring different cultures through travel and food (recently went to Norway, Italy, France, & Switzerland), and trying out new hobbies (volleyball, pickleball, and pottery right now)! If you have a passion for product or travel, I’d love to connect.
