Detoure is a resale marketplace that sources highly curated clothing from influencers and tastemakers, giving customers access to the most coveted closets in the world at thrift prices. As influencer marketing has grown into a $13B industry, trendsetters on platforms like Instagram and Tiktok have not only become Gen Z’s primary source for fashion inspiration, but have become brands themselves. By offering influencers white glove consignment services, we help them capitalize on their unique stylistic identities to turn their fan base into a customer base - and along the way we’re creating a new way to shop secondhand. By sourcing inventory from the trendsetters themselves we’re able to create the most curated secondhand platform on the market. Unlike Depop and Poshmark, our customers don’t have to scroll through hundreds of outdated items to find one gem. At Detoure, all we have are Gems. We operate as a managed resale marketplace selling items on a consignment basis - influencers give us their clothing and we provide an all-inclusive service of photographing, listing, and shipping items to customers in return for 30% of the sale. Influencers are in charge of marketing their closet drops to their followers (currently 10.2M followers on our roster), which brings in a steady influx of customers at no charge for us. These followers often become recurring customers, expanding from their favorite influencer to buying from multiple influencers on our roster.
