About Meghan Caldwell

Ms. Meghan Caldwell currently works at a women-owned, national security policy consulting firm Octant Associates LLC. She currently supports the DTRA CTR Central & Global Department as the Global Division Team Lead. In her previous capacity, she served as a Operations Manager for a DTRA CTR Department as well as a Project Lead for nuclear security activities at the DTRA Cooperative Threat Reduction program.Additionally, she’s previously served as the Director’s Action Group Lead, assisting the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff and Department Leads at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Cooperative Threat Reduction program, with a broad portfolio that included project management, cross-functional team management, technical writing, strategic planning, and data reporting in the areas of nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons security and surveillance.Earlier, Ms. Caldwell served as the Policy Associate and Special Assistant to the President at Ploughshares Fund, a nuclear security foundation, where she was responsible for managing the foundation president’s schedule, activities, and communications, as well as conference organization and media communications. She was also responsible for conducting extensive open-source research on current nuclear policy-related issues.Ms. Caldwell has her certification in Project Management Professional (PMP). She is a graduate of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey where she earned a master’s degree in nonproliferation and terrorism with an emphasis in Russian. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Luther College in Russian studies, political science, and German studies, with an emphasis in international relations. She has also completed two language immersion programs for the Russian language.
