Coaches district leaders in using continuous improvement to set and implement academic strategies grounded in advancing student learning for middle school English Learners (May 2021-present). • Led Education First’s multi-year contract (May 2018—Nov 2019) supporting a collaborative of 13 major foundations focused on design and use of integrated data systems in the social sector to support better policy, programs, and outcomes. Refined strategy, led project management, managed internal Education First team, and planned and facilitated bi-annual collaborative meetings. • Provided support to networks of schools to assess and build capacity around academic quality, through leading school walkthroughs and/or coaching to support continuous improvement, and/or designing and leading professional learning, including: Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s; Alliance College-Ready Public Schools; Springpoint Schools; Irving School District • Served as a course facilitator for a cohort of educators to support Culturally Responsive Teaching and effective hybrid learning. • Provided strategic feedback on tools and processes aimed to advance district capacity for clients including: Clever, Inc; Bank Street Education Center; and District to District. • Led the inaugural charter renewal review process for Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Charter Office—designing protocols, training and norming the team, leading the review, developing the report and renewal recommendations; and providing developmental feedback to the school team. Provided follow up support to the Promise Academy Board to act on the feedback, including Board development/strategy and hiring process support.

Motivated by social justice, I have worked in public education for over 15 years, teaching, working at the nation’s largest district, founding a successful nonprofit consulting agency, and working as an independent consultant. More recently, I have leveraged my experience and voice to build awareness around maternal mental health and mental health and wellness more broadly as key levers of social justice. Areas of expertise include: coaching; strategy design; policy; adult development; building and managing teams and organizations; academic quality; writing; project management; yoga and mindfulness and mindfulness meditation.
